What we store

Your account record (email address, display name, locale), the resumes and cover letters you upload, the jobs you save, and the applications you track. Files you upload are held in object storage under a key scoped to your account; the raw upload is deleted once it has been parsed into a resume.

Why we store it

To show you your own workspace back to you: your scores, your matches, your tracker. Job postings come from public job boards and are not personal data. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your resume content to train models.

What we send to AI providers

When you ask for tailored bullets or a cover letter, the relevant parts of your resume and the job description are sent to the configured AI provider to produce that text. Those requests, with token counts and latency, are recorded so we can measure cost. You can turn this off with the Improve AI models setting in your account.

Analytics

We record screen views and feature events so we know which parts of the product work. These carry pseudonymous identifiers, not your resume text. Any string property attached to an event is checked against an allowlist before it leaves your browser.

Deleting your data

Settings has a Delete my resume data control that removes your resumes, cover letters and derived AI output. You can also export everything we hold as a JSON download, or delete your account entirely, from the same screen. Deletion is confirmed in place before anything is removed.
